Already a couple of days late, but the photographic spirit is willing even if the real world time management isn’t. Yes, it really is no surprise that I just had to start with a power pole. Next to powerlines they are my favourite structures to photograph.

A few quick-edit preview shots from a recent trip over to Newcastle, New South Wales. Thanks to Newcastle Helicopters and our wonderful Pilot, for the fantastic flight over some of the highlights of the area, including the scenic coastline there. Stunned by the detail captured from up above; the web sized images below do not do the vista justice. We travelled in a Robinson R44, the one below, and it was a blast – once I got over the vertigo and height thing
